Amazon switches to Windows Live
Just yesterday I wrote about the need for Google to attack Internet Explorer 7 and why they are doing it. And today I wake up to find that Amazon has switched from Google to Windows Live Search as their search engine. That has to be a big blow for Google. Like I wrote before, it would take some time for Microsoft to get their act together, and they’re still aligning the battleships, Windows Live Mail being one of them, and preparing for the heat of the fight. And there’s 2.4 billion more in investments to come. So it’ll only get worse in the future for Google.
Perhaps now that Microsoft stock went down 11%, it is a good time to start buying. It looks like it could only go up again in the future.
Update: Here’s another interesting mention in the Washington Post. And perhaps now is a good time to start selling any Google stock you may own.

Live Mail is pretty annoying, so far.

I have yet to try the new interface for Live Mail. I use GMail, and I like it. Hopefully Live Mail wil support POP3 access as well.
