Miss India Suriname Photoshoot
Back in February I had the opportunity to do a photoshoot for one of my clients involving the winner and first runner-up of the Miss India Suriname Pageant which was held in October 2006. It was another all day long shoot, but was surprisingly less exhausting than the previous one I did.
As you can see from the pictures above, when you have a whole team of make-up specialists working with your models, it becomes much easier to take nice pictures of them. And they did a pretty good job too. It’s amazing how different the same model can look with different make-up, hairstyle and clothes. Here are some examples:
Overall this was another very nice experience to be part of. It was my first time working with experienced models, and there was a clear difference. Things just went much easier and I didn’t have to direct them too much. Perhaps this is the most important reason why it was also less exhausting compared to previous shoots I did that lasted just as long.
One of the limitations I had was that I didn’t have enough light available to be able to do full body shots and to be able to evenly light the whole background. So it wasn’t very easy, and requires more post processing of images after the shoot. However, now I have 2 additional softboxes adding a total of 1000 watts of light, so I’m expecting things to be a lot easier for my next shoot.
